RIG CARP CUP is a very popular competition among the anglers who know us. The first edition took place in May 2007 and since then, two editions have been organised each year: in the spring - in May, and in the summer - in August. The first ten editions were organized on the medium basin (EC3) with a total surface of about 8 ha.

Since May 2012, the competition „was moved” on the new competition venue in the large basin, having a total surface of 437 ha. The new fishing conditions meet the highest international standards, our venue being appreciated by the FIPSed representatives as one of the most modern competition venues existing worldwide. This certification from the FIPSed inspectors renders as final the FIPSed decision that Corbu Lake will host the XIV th edition of the CarpFishing World Championship scheduled for September 2012, opening new horizons for the Romanian carp fishing. The new competition venue was fit up as to meet the requirements of the international regulations concerning the fishing rings, access routes, as well as all the facilities provided. Regarding this chapter, we have been confirmed that our offer exceeds the standards imposed by FIPSed. All the fishing rings are equipped with wooden bungalows with beds, table, chairs, umbrellas, recycle bins, ecological toilets etc.
