ROMANIA IS THE NEW WORLD CHAMPION ON CARPFISHING

We are the New World Champions on Carpfishing! Officially, on the A Sector Romania team formed by Fasie Stefan and Roman Felix is on the first place, obtaining the The World Champion Title! The same title was obtained by the Romanian team, on the C Sector Claudiu Lukacs and Catalin Ureche.

After the final weighing which took place at 13:15 hour, Romania’s team on the B Sector (Ionel Ghelase and Valeriu Martoiu) out ran Latvia’s team bringing in the general ranking the title of World Champions! Congratulations Romania! Congratulations all athletes!

The biggest catch was obtained the Bulgarian Team on Sector A06 (Balchev Branimir and Dimov Liudmil), 12.980kg.

Romania in front of the Ranking

Here we are in the last day of the World Carp Championship! As you may have already seen from the weighing schedule Romania has big chances to win the competition!

On Sector A, Romania rules is in front of Bulgaria, with 696kg caught so far. Our neighbours caught until now 434kg. Also on Sector C, Carpina, the little golden fish of Corbu Lake was the Romanian team’s lucky charm. 557kg caught Romania’s team, and the Serbian team caught only 476kg.

In Sector B, Romania occupies the fifth place, with 259kg. Serbia is now the next challenge for Romania in this sector. So far, Serbia is in front of Romania’s team with only one kilogram. We have many chances to ascend in this sector too. All the Romania’s team (Claudiu Lukacs and Catalin Ureche) have to do is to maintain an alert rhythm and not to loose points in front of the other teams (Portugalia, first place, 289kg, Bulgaria, second place, 273kg, Latvia, third place, 271kg). Keep going all of you!

The Competition

On the third day of The Carpfishing World Championship, after the drawing lots and distribution on sectors, the competitors have waited the starting signal in order to ocupy their pontoons. At 13:00 o’clock, all the 20 nations went to their places, from where, for 72 hours, they will angle in Corbu Lake.

Carpina was looking of all this by the shore, in order to tell the whole world. She had seen the best  fishermen in the world how they installed their umbrellas, setting their utensils, ready to proove their angling skills.

The referees have stayed all day long on sectors, hoping that will discover a big catch on one of the teams. The fishermen listened in silence the water voice, seeking at least one carp tail which will move their angle. Carpina seen exactly the dedication of this real cyprinids “hunters”. For them, is more than a passion. It’s a way of life, integrated in every part of their existence. Passion transformed in art.

All the nations were excited by the facillities on Corbu lake. Houses with two beds, umbrellas, tables and chairs that they weren’t need to bring with them, flags on every house, for each team can be signaled.

Today will be a full day, in which silence will be the principal word on Corbu lake, in order not to scarry the fish. Every team will come at weighing hours hoping that they have catched the haviest capture. Carpina will tell you what happens today, helped by the local, national and international press, especially by the PV TV,  where you can see live this event, almost all day long. The world delegations have enjoyed The Romanian Traditional Evening

Hello everybody! It was very nice meeting you at the Welcome Party dedicated to the World Carpfishing Championship! Now that we have met and you admired my beautiful figure, let’s tell the others about the event organised especially for you in Romania!

I would like to tell you all about our traditional Romanian party as it was seen through the eyes of a golden fish, that is my eyes- Carpina!

We waited our guests with bread and salt at GPM Holiday Camping in Mamaia, and one by one, they sat at the tables. There was something in the air, as if the everybody knew we would have a blast, but no one could have imagined the fun we would have!

Our esteemed guests were invited to feast up on our delicios menu, the “iceing on the cake” being the delicios veal prepared in front of the guests by our chefs. The highlight of the evening was the the moment when everybody joined in an a huge “hora” (Romanian round dance).

As the evening went by, it was like everybody knew that this evening was only the beginning and that most certainly we would have a great time during the entire duration of the championship! I am very pleased that I have succeded to bring here, on Corbu Lake people from all over the world who can see what a great country we have! So, prepare your fishing rods because in the next few days you will be able to catch a lot of surprises! And, after all, if until Sunday you won’t decide to settle here, in Romania, at Corbu Lake, don’t call me Carpina!

Fishermen and cyprinids look out The World Carp Championship Begins

             The XIV^th Edition of the Carp Fishing World Championship starts on the 27^th of September in Romania and takes place on Corbu Lake, Constanta County. At this event, organized by S.C. Rig Service S.A., will participate 21 delegations from all over the world. Therefore, among South Africa, will also compete Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, England, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Southern Africa, Spain, and Ukraine.

Corbu Lake, the host of this event was proposed and accepted last year by AGVPS Romania as contest venue for the Carp Fishing World Championship. It is the first time that this competition is hosted by Romania. Therefore, the organizer, S.C. Rig Service S.A., took all the necessary measures in order to meet the demands of FIPSed (International Carp fishing Federation in freshwaters).

                75 contest stands were built in record time, but with sense of responsibility and diligence, all of them equipped with all the facilities necessary for such an important international competition, including bungalows with two beds and nightstands, where fishermen may rest in comfortable conditions during the competition. In addition, the organizers provided umbrellas, work tables, chairs, ecological toilets and showers, information panels, watch posts, patrol cars, handheld transmitters and receivers, laptops, printers, copiers, internet access, LCDs, all in all, everything they considered to be necessary in order to ensure the best conditions for such a high level sports event.

The inspection of the FIPSed delegation (International Carp fishing Federation in freshwaters) which was formed by Mr. Antonio Gigli, the FIPSed president delegate, and Mr. Guido Mazzarella, Italy’s team captain, double world champion, concluded that the competition venue on Corbu Lake fulfills all the international competition standards, and more than that, it is one of the best in the world!

This way, the future of all sport competitions on Corbu Lake venue is assured. There have already been proposals for the organization of international youth inter-clubs competitions, as well as other competitions, such as Rig Service Cups and Corbu Lake’s Cups. This way, the carp angling in Romania will be put into value, as favorite destination for all the world anglers, and along with that, all the other touristic objectives from the Romanian seaside and the Danube Delta.

We are looking forward to seeing you, dear competitors, fishing enthusiasts or just spectators, at the XIV^th edition of The Carp Fishing World Championship which will take place between September 27-30 and which will most certainly open the road for many fishing competitions in our country!

Young and old you are all invited to the Fishing Hunting and Pleasure Boats Fair

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are pleased to inform you that, between the 26^th and the 30^th of September, the Fishing, Hunting and Pleasure Boats Fair will be open at Constanta Exhibition Pavilion. This event is organised in support of the Carpfishing World Championship that will take place at Corbu Lake, Constanta, in the same period.  Therefore, all angling enthusiasts that are still in search of the golden fish, will be able to find a large variety of baits and everything a true fisherman needs at the Fair, event that hopes to be a way of escaping the daily routine and enjoying the passion for a noble hobby, whether we are talking about fishing or about hunting.

            Thus, the fierce hunters will not be forgotten either. All those who are truly passionate about this sport are invited to discover what the Fair has to offer: equipment and all kind of accessories specific to this hobby.

The official opening of the Fishing, Hunting and Pleasure Boats Fair will take place on Wednesday, the 26^th of September, starting with 11 o’clock in the morning, at Constanta Exhibition Pavilion. Corbu Lake Overview

S.C. RIG SERVICE S.A. started its activity at Corbu 2 Lake fish farm in 2006. This hatchery, aquaculture farm is located at about 5 km of the Corbu and Navodari villages, within the site NATURA 2000 „ROSPA0060 Tasaul – Corbu Lakes”. Total surface of the area is 450.03 ha, out of which:
o Water surface: 448.92 ha
o Number of basins: 3 (EC 2, EC 3 & EC4)
EC 2 = 436,70 ha;
EC 3 = 8,275 ha;
EC 4 = 3,948 ha.
